What is a digital asset ETF?

It is a common search term for exchange-traded products linked to digital assets. Some hold bitcoin or ether, some use derivatives, and others own blockchain-related companies. The legal vehicle and actual holdings matter more than the label.

How do spot and futures products differ?

A spot crypto product holds the digital asset; a futures fund uses contracts to obtain exposure. Contract replacement, collateral, and other implementation details can cause futures fund returns to differ from a spot price. Read the specific objective and documents.

Does owning an ETF share mean I own crypto in a wallet?

An exchange-traded share is a security held through a brokerage account. It is not the same as personally controlling a coin’s private keys, and ordinary shareholders should not assume they can redeem small positions for cryptocurrency.

What should I check besides the fee?

Check the exposure, legal structure, benchmark, custody, liquidity, spread, and relevant risk disclosures. Compare sponsor fees and expense ratios with their definitions attached. A single percentage is not a complete picture of cost.

Do all Ethereum products earn staking rewards?

No universal assumption is appropriate. Staking policies and distribution arrangements are product-specific and can change. Verify the current product documents; protocol-level staking information does not establish what a fund does.

Where can I find official fund information?

Start with the issuer’s current product page and applicable prospectus or trust documents. The source library on this website links to the official pages used in the directory, alongside SEC and FINRA educational material.
